Retirement Plan Advisor Mark E. Ray, C(k)P®, AIF®, PRP, CBC, RF™, GFS™, CRPS® Joins the Retirement Advisor Council

East Granby, CT – Mark E. Ray, C(k)P®, AIF®, PRP®, CBC, RF™, GFS™, CRPS® has joined the Retirement Advisor Council effective January 1, 2016.

Mr. Ray is a Retirement Plan Consultant who started Praxis Consulting in Sacramento, California nearly 30 years ago. He and his team partner with their clients to advocate best retirement plan practices. Many of the plans they serve are balanced forward, or pooled asset plans, which allow them to offer a DB-like benefit. Mr. Ray and his team provide oversight and education to more than 46 clients with over 6300 participants and $600 million in plan assets.

Mr. Ray was nominated for a seat on the Council in November 2015.  The Nomination Committee recommended his application for Council membership after a comprehensive review process that took multiple factors into consideration including his entrepreneurial experience and his ability to bring practical solutions to challenging issues. The Executive Board of the Council approved Mr. Ray’s nomination in January 2016.

“Our clients have challenges as plan providers and we are tasked with helping them meet those challenges. I am looking forward to participating on the council to share ideas on how to best help our clients” said Mr. Ray.

The Retirement Advisor Council is a national organization that advocates for successful qualified plan and participant retirement outcomes through the collaborative efforts of experienced, qualified retirement plan advisors, investment managers and defined contribution plan service providers.  To advance its mission, the Council undertakes initiatives in the areas of research, public relations and promotion, general public education, regulatory positions and practice management.  The Council accomplishes this mission by:

  • Identifying duties, responsibilities, and attributes of the Professional Retirement Plan Advisor.
  • Sharing professional standards with plan sponsors who are responsible for the success of their plans.
  • Providing collective thought capital to decision makers, product providers, legislators and the public.
  • Giving voice to the retirement plan advisor community
  • Offering tools to evaluate advisors to ensure the quality of services provided.
