Yaqub Ahmed is Head of Institutional Retirement, Insurance/Sub-Advisory & 529 College Savings in the U.S. for Franklin Templeton. His responsibilities include overseeing these businesses and leadership on strategic partnerships/joint ventures, M&A, FinTech, public policy and regulatory matters related to the broader U.S. market. Yaqub serves on the Franklin Templeton Executive Management Committee and on the Fiduciary Trust International (subsidiary of Franklin Templeton) Board of Directors. He has over 25 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on institutional asset management. Prior to joining Franklin Templeton in 2009, he served as managing director for Columbia Threadneedle's U.S. Investment-Only business based in Boston.

Mr. Ahmed has been named as one of the “100 Most Influential” in the industry by InvestmentWires.com for seven years and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and client forums. He is also serves as a member and advisor to several industry Boards, including DCIIA Public Policy Committee, SPARK Institute Board of Directors, IRI Asset Management Committee, Advisory Board of EACH Enterprise, LLC, Fiduciary Trust Audit Committee, and the NAPA Leadership Council (emeritus). Yaqub also serves on the Board of Directors for the historic Tampa Theatre.
