Troy Redstone is an accomplished public speaker, published author (see his book here on Amazon), and expert in behavioral finance.  He is also Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA®) and Certified Behavioral Finance Analyst (CBFA®) with nearly 20 years of experience in the retirement plan market space. 

In 2013, Redstone launched PHD. Retirement Consulting to focus exclusively on qualified retirement plans supporting the needs of both employers and employees. PHD. stands for Plan Health Design—emphasizing Redstone’s believe that healthy retirement plans yield healthy retirement outcomes for the employee.  The result is a practice that focuses on return of investment for the plan sponsor’s retirement plan and the value of an investment for the wellness plans. Redstone’s practice extends to employers that sponsor retirement plans including 401(k), 401(a), 403(b) and 457 plans as well as employers looking to start association retirement plans.

Redstone is a member of the Retirement Advisor Council as one of the most important advocacy groups and thought leaders in the retirement plan industry. He also serves as a member of the board for the Employee Benefits Institute where he was 2019 Chairman of the Board. He also is a participating member of the Behavioral Finance Forum and a member of the Fiduciary Society for Ethical Financial Practices.

Redstone  has published articles in a variety of magazines and newspapers including The Miami Herald, the Vero Beach Press Journal, and the Today Paper. He studied Journalism and Behavioral Psychology at The University of Alabama for his undergraduate degrees and studied ministry and Finance in graduate school at Anderson University and Rockhurst University, respectively. He lives in Kansas City with his wife of 25 years, son, daughter, and an Aussiedoodle named Dixie Belle.
